CBS This Morning premiered in late 1987 with co-hosts Harry Smith and Kathleen Sullivan, a former news anchor from Good Morning America. The only holdover from the previous incarnation was weatherman Mark McEwen. Although CBS remained in third place in the ratings, the show marked an improvement over the low numbers set by The Morning Program. This first version of CBS This Morning would remain on the air for twelve years.

Hmmm this isn’t the original CBS This Morning theme. Seems to be a second revision of the original. Please correct and upload the original. Thanks!
I think this is the one of the closes tied to the version of the theme that debuted in the spring of 1989. In the credits that would generally run at the end of the Friday morning shows, both the ’87 & ’89 versions were tied to Paul Evans & Red Neinkirchen.
