When Norah O’Donnell became anchor of the CBS Evening News, the program introduced a fresh look and sound. The new theme was a remixed version of the previous one, with a strong EDM influence. A few months later, the program moved to Washington, D.C., making it the first network evening news broadcast since World News Tonight in the early ’80s to be based in the nation’s capital.
